
Islamabad, August 26th – Tech Valley Pakistan hosted a delegation of 20 senior economic journalists from Karachi, representing some of the country’s most respected news organizations, including ARY News, Hum News, Dunya News, Samaa News, Neo News, Express Group, GNN News, The News, ProPakistani, Nawai Waqt and Business Recorder. The delegation, part of the Council of Economic and Energy Journalists (CEEJ), was led by President Raja Kamran, Secretary Kashif Munir, Vice President Ehtsham Mufti, and senior journalist Anjum Alam.
During their visit, the group was briefed on Tech Valley’s collaborations with Google in Pakistan, aimed at transforming classrooms, empowering youth, and strengthening professional communities with digital skills. Discussions highlighted Tech Valley’s flagship initiatives, including Digital Safar, which trains teachers and students on safe internet practices and coding skills; Digital Sahafat, which equips journalists with advanced AI tools such as Google Lens, Google Maps, Pinpoint, and NotebookLM to enhance their digital reporting skills; and the Google Career Certificates program, which offers globally recognized certifications in high-demand fields.
The delegation also learned about Tech Valley’s partnership in Chromebook deployment across Sindh, an initiative led by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah. Chromebooks have already been distributed to various universities, and Tech Valley has been actively training teachers and students to integrate these devices into their classrooms to foster collaboration, creativity, and interactive learning. Furthermore, the group was introduced to Google Gemini and NotebookLMNoebookLM in education, where AI-powered tools are helping reimagine lesson planning, personalize learning experiences, and enhance classroom efficiency.
The session was graced by the virtual presence of the Secretary of IT Sindh, Mr. Noor Ahmed Samoo, who praised the collaborative efforts of Tech Valley and Google in driving innovation and inclusivity in Pakistan’s education sector.
