This proved the model was ready for mass adoption.
A Future for Every Child: Signing the 'Made in Pakistan' Pact
Recognizing the challenge of Out-of-School Children (OOSC) and the need for scalable solutions, the strategic alliance was formed. This was cemented by the Signing of the Landmark Assembly Agreement (Letter of Understanding) between NRTC, Allied Australian, and Tech Valley Pakistan. This pact officially created the pathway for Pakistan's own world-class Chromebook assembly line in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Tech Sovereignty: Unveiling the First 'Made in Pakistan' Device
The culmination of the manufacturing effort resulted in a major national milestone. The Unveiling of the First Locally Manufactured Chromebook to the Prime Minister by Google Asia Pacific (APAC) was a powerful symbolic event. This launched the ambitious goal to produce 500,000 Chromebooks by 2026, affirming Pakistan's new role as a hub for EdTech hardware.
The AI Leap: 200,000 Devices Position Punjab as the 'AI Hub'
The transformation scaled rapidly at the provincial level. The Punjab-Google AI Education Agreement is a landmark initiative that commits to providing 200,000 locally assembled Chromebooks and, critically, integrates Digital IDs powered by Gemini into classrooms. This massive effort will train 50,000 teachers and officially position Punjab as the "AI Hub of Pakistan."
The Grand Vision: Powering the $25 Billion IT Economy
