Tech Valley Pakistan Collaborates with PEIRA to Empower Private School Teachers with Digital Skills
Islamabad, Pakistan – 2nd November 2023: Tech Valley Pakistan, a leading Google for Education Partner in Pakistan, has joined forces with the Private Education Institutes Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) to provide extensive digital skills training to private school teachers across the country. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing the capacity of the private education sector and fostering a digitally literate teaching workforce.
The partnership was formalized through an MOU signing ceremony held today in Islamabad, attended by representatives from PEIRA, Tech Valley Pakistan, and Google for Education ANZ/PK. During the ceremony, Paul Hutchings, Regional Head of Google for Education ANZ/PK, emphasized the importance of empowering teachers with digital tools to effectively navigate the evolving educational landscape.
Under the MOU, Tech Valley Pakistan will spearhead the training of private school teachers on Google CS First and Be Internet Awesome, two flagship programs under Google’s Digital Safar initiative. These programs aim to introduce students to the fundamentals of computer science and equip them with essential online safety skills.

The training program will be conducted in phases, covering a wide range of topics, including:
Google CS First: Introducing teachers to the basics of computer science and computational thinking through engaging and hands-on activities.
Be Internet Awesome: Equipping teachers with the knowledge and resources to effectively teach online safety to their students.
The training program is expected to benefit thousands of private school teachers across Pakistan, enabling them to integrate digital tools into their teaching practices and enhance the overall quality of education.
