Tech Valley Pakistan has been actively engaging the underrepresented segments, noticeably the women prisoners in the province of Sindh. We have joined hands with Legal Aid Society in extending Google Career Certificate Scholarships to them. As a part of our CSR initiative, 5 Chromebooks were donated on May 29th to be used for this purpose by female prisoners. Tech Valley Pakistan also conducted orientation sessions on Google certification courses for prisoners and prison staff. The Google certification is offered in diverse areas such as Program Management, IT support & Automation, Digital Marketing, and E-commerce, amongst many others.  Such efforts will not only boost the prisoners’ future prospects (through skill and knowledge enhancement) but will also contribute to their successful #reintegration into society. This will be a landmark achievement to provide technical education to prison inmates and prove to be one of its kind initiative taken by Google in cooperation with Tech Valley Pakistan. Together, we aim to bring relevant skill sets to underserved areas to equip them with modern technology and empower them to be financially independent. A huge shout out to the team of Legal Aid Society for making it possible for us to achieve the inclusivity of all communities who have been deprived of opportunities for a long time.
