A Safety Net Built Into the Digital World Kids Already Live In

Kids want to explore. Teens want independence. Parents want to protect. Digital Pasbaan brings these together, a program by Google, in partnership with Tech Valley, that equips 200,000+ households nationwide with practical tools and hands-on training to help families navigate the internet safely and with confidence.

Keeping kids safe online isn't one person's job. It takes parents setting the right defaults, teachers reinforcing safe habits in the classroom, creators modeling responsible behavior, and platforms building safety in from the start. Digital Pasbaan brings all four together; working alongside the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) , Beaconhouse School System (BSS), Jazz World, Hum Network, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications (MoITT), and Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC).

Be Internet Awesome

Google’s free digital-citizenship curriculum teaches kids the fundamentals of online safety: being smart, alert, strong, kind, and brave; through age-appropriate lessons kids can apply on their own.

YouTube Shorts

Built-in reminders like the Shorts App Timer and “Take a Break”/”Bedtime” prompts help families set healthy, low-friction boundaries around screen time.

Safe Search

Safe Search filters explicit content out of Google Search results automatically; a safety net that works by default, before a parent has to set anything up.

Digital Pasbaan officially launched at Beaconhouse School System, Bahria Enclave Campus, Islamabad, bringing together Google, and Tech Valley as its key partner along with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and Pakistan’s leading education, media, and government partners to kick off a nationwide commitment to child safety online.
