Tech Valley and Government of Sindh Announce Expanded Digital Literacy Initiative in Sindh for 2026

Karachi, Sindh – Building on a year of transformative digital growth, Tech Valley CEO Umar Farooq recently met with Ali Rashid, Special Assistant to the CM Sindh for IT, to solidify a strategic roadmap for the province’s digital future. The partnership aims to bridge the skills gap and modernize the academic infrastructure across Sindh through 2026.

The cornerstone of this year’s roadmap is the announcement of 20,000 free Google Career Certificate scholarships. These scholarships are designed to provide the youth of Sindh with tangible, industry-recognized skills in high-growth fields, enabling them to compete in the global digital economy.

Beyond individual skill-building, Tech Valley and the Government of Sindh are focused on systemic innovation. A new initiative to implement Digital IDs in universities across the province is underway. This move is set to streamline campus collaboration, enhance security, and create a more integrated learning environment for thousands of students.

“The energy we are seeing across Sindh is incredible,” said Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley. “By providing these tools and certifications, we aren’t just giving out certificates; we are helping young people build careers they love. We are proud to stand with the Sindh Government to ensure no one is left behind in this digital transformation.”

As Tech Valley and the Government of Sindh continue their collaboration, the focus remains clear: building a digital ecosystem that is inclusive, efficient, and forward-thinking.
