Building on the success of the 2024 program, which saw 100% Google Career Certificates completion rate from 10 public universities in Sindh that successfully completed specializations in high-demand fields such as AI, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and project management, this expansion demonstrates the Government of Sindh’s commitment to digital transformation and workforce development.
Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “This partnership with Tech Valley is a testament to our commitment to transforming Sindh into a hub of innovation and skill development. By providing 30,000+ scholarships, we are not just investing in education; we are investing in the future of our youth and the prosperity of our province.”
The initiative will ensure inclusivity, with a target of at least 30% female enrollment, along with a strong focus on underserved communities. Scholarships will be distributed to students across 30 public universities, offering training in 9 specializations within high-demand fields, AI Essentials Course, and 2 new courses including Prompting Essentials and Agile Essentials.
Noor Ahmed Samoo, Secretary of the Science and Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh, called the program a game-changer, stating, “By equipping our youth with globally recognized certifications, we are preparing them to compete on a global stage and contribute to the socio-economic development of our province.”
With a strong emphasis on career development, the program connects graduates with industry opportunities through job placement support, networking, and mentorship. Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley, shared, “We are honored to partner with the Government of Sindh on this transformative journey. By providing 30,000+ Google Career Certificate scholarships, we are not just imparting skills; we are shaping futures and building a talent pool that will drive Sindh’s digital economy forward.”
