30,000+ Google Career Certificates Scholarships Awarded to Public Sector Universities of Sindh
Karachi, Sindh – March 24th, 2025: The Government of Sindh, in collaboration with Google and Tech Valley, has announced the launch of over 30,000 Google Career Certificates scholarships for students across public sector universities in Sindh for the year 2025.
A memorandum of understanding was signed at CM House Karachi between Tech Valley and Science and Information Technology Department, Government of Sindh in the presence of 30+ university vice chancellors, to equip students with globally recognized digital skills, enhancing their employability in the fast-evolving job market.
Building on the success of the 2024 program, which saw 100% Google Career Certificates completion rate from 10 public universities in Sindh that successfully completed specializations in high-demand fields such as AI, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and project management, this expansion demonstrates the Government of Sindh’s commitment to digital transformation and workforce development.
Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “This partnership with Tech Valley is a testament to our commitment to transforming Sindh into a hub of innovation and skill development. By providing 30,000+ scholarships, we are not just investing in education; we are investing in the future of our youth and the prosperity of our province.”
Google Career Certificates is designed to bridge the gap between skills and employment, providing students with hands-on, job-ready skills in key digital fields. The courses, developed by Google experts, offer flexible online learning that can be completed within three to six months, allowing students to gain in-demand credentials without requiring a traditional degree.

The initiative will ensure inclusivity, with a target of at least 30% female enrollment, along with a strong focus on underserved communities. Scholarships will be distributed to students across 30 public universities, offering training in 9 specializations within high-demand fields, AI Essentials Course, and 2 new courses including Prompting Essentials and Agile Essentials.
